Blane Real Estate Inc. was founded in 1950 by Mance Blane. In 1979, his daughter Judy joined him in the business which has grown to be Menard County's leading Real Estate office. Our office is located on the south edge of Historic Petersburg in a renovated Victorian house with views of the Menard County Courthouse and the hills and trees of Our Hometown.

Judy Blane-Olesen, a life long resident of Petersburg was joined in the firm by her husband, Pete Olesen in 1994. A graduate of Petersburg PORTA High and the University of Illinois, Pete is a licensed Architect whose life has been taken over by real estate. Pete and Judy have four children ranging from a teenager to their 30's. Stowe, 13, is a 7th grader at PORTA Jr. High and loves all the sports, school and social activities he is involved with. Their three older children, all PORTA graduates, are all married and live throughout Illinois. Pete and Judy have three wonderful grandchildren. Their strong connection to Historic Petersburg and Menard County make their job a true joy as they introduce new families to the area. As involved community members, they have a vested interest in pleasing their clients ... the same people they will see at school events, ballgames and the grocery store.

In 2006 Kim Wenda joined Blane Real Estate Inc. after spending more than 18 years in the sales field with telecommunications. Kim has lived at Lake Petersburg for nearly 20 years. She and her husband, Mark, are the parents of 3 lively boys. They range in age from 6 - 12 years old and are involved in all avenues of the PORTA School system. Kim brings an exuberant personality and a strong desire to work with Buyers and Sellers to find the "perfect place". She has expanded our scope of business to Springfield and Sangamon County and has exceeded our ... and her expectations.
